The Rights Respecting School Award

Alder Grange is very proud of its work in the area of promoting rights, respect and responsibility in school. We are one of the very few secondary schools in the Northwest of England to be awarded "Rights Respecting School" status by UNICEF.

Throughout learning, student council meetings and assemblies the following issues are regularly discussed:

• How to involve more students in the issue of human rights' education
• How to build a stronger voice for students in our school
• How to judge the level of progress made by the school in continuing its work on Rights, Respect and Responsibility
